Thanksgiving 2010

We went to Iraan/the Ranch for Thanksgiving this year. I wasn't sure if I would be up to it, but turns out I was getting a little stir crazy in the house. We've been in the house alot because I'm too paranoid to take the baby out in public because it's flu season. He has been under house arrest. I think he's only been to United twice, the drs. office-which is really just a pit full of germs so therefore defeats the purpose of keeping him at the house, and a few friends houses. I know I can't be like that the whole winter, I just want to get him a little bigger. And I'm a weirdo like that about getting sick. We had a nice time seeing everyone, but it was hard to be away from home with a new baby that cries at night and has to be fed fourteen times a day and night. It's just easier to be at home sometimes, but I think everyone enjoyed seeing Gunnar and some of my family hadn't me him yet.

Silly kids in the bath! Nana and mother love to wear shower caps so you will always have access to a shower cap while visiting.

It's so nice when someone helps out. We love Nana to help and wish she lived with us. Seriously. We've tried.

Gunnar crying. Which is what he did most of the time while he was in Iraan. He's very disgruntled with life in this photo. His belly hurts. His tongue is touching the top of his mouth so it looks funny-for some reason I get tickled looking at his gums with no teeth.

We brought Cita's new couch from Lubbock with us. It has a pull-out bed. Slade thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. He asked if we could get one that had a bed the next time we bought a couch, LOL! Yes, in like fifteen years when our couch wears out and then you sadly won't care about a pull-out bed anymore.

Aunt Cindy and G. We ate Thanksgiving dinner at PeeWee & Cindy's house-which is Nana's old house-which brings back lots of childhood memories and makes us all sad that Ambo is not here. He would really like the kids. He would let them pick up nails outside the barn and give them a penny for each one and they would think it was fun. Or he would cook them the best eggs and sausage for breakfast with white toasted bread. Or let them drink cold water out of the clear glass jug in the fridge without getting a cup. It was fun like that at their house.

Mom and Nana. Nana is a very happy person. She just refuses to smile for pics-we don't know why.

Gunnar-a whole month old!

And the following pics aren't from Thanksgiving, but I wanted to post them anyways. Finley is helping out feeding him. This is rare. Slade and Finley both love to hold him, but they don't have much to do with feeding him. Don't have the patience for it. Dirty rats.

G and his friend, Violet. Violet and he are 10 weeks apart. What a difference two and a half months makes!!!

G likes his baths but mom has to put a rag on his head or keep him mostly submerged or he gets FURIOUS if he's cold. He is not kidding around when he's cold. He might not take too kindly to the windy Lubbock winter, poor dude!
